FE Battery Metals Corp owns 100% of a promising lithium exploration property located in Landrienne & Lacorne-Townships, Quebec, Canada. Quebec is ahead of the curve in working to join the EV revolution. Its vast hydroelectricity infrastructure gives it an advantage in clean, low-carbon energy that is essential to the green energy transition.
The Company has been able to acquire approximately 27,000 hectares of ground in a growing hard rock Lithium district. It has excellent infrastructure support with a road network, railway, electricity, water, and trained manpower available locally.
There are several historical and currently active lithium and molybdenum prospects/mines located approximately 3 km to 20 km from the Property. Some of the important prospects/mines are the North American Lithium Mine (NAL) which is owned by Sayona Mining of Australia, Sayona Mining pre-feasibility study (PFS) published in 2022 confirmed the technical and financial viability of the NAL Mine including a pre-tax net present value (NPV)(8% discount) estimated at approximately A$1 billion with a 27-year life of mine, based on estimated JORC Proved and Probable Ore Reserves of 29.2 million tonnes @ 0.96% Li2O. To date, FE Battery Metals has completed its Phase I & II exploration program at the Augustus Project which included approximately 8,000 meters of drilling along with initiating its metallurgical testwork goal to develop a preliminary process to treat the spodumene-bearing lithium mineralized rock to conceptualize a flowsheet, produce lithium oxide concentrate, and generate a high-purity lithium carbonate product.
GEOLOGY AND MINERALIZATION
The geology and the mineralization of the Augustus Property are similar to the geology and mineralization of North American Lithium ( NAL) mine located approximately 6 kilometers to the southeast of the Property. Geologically the Preissac-Lacorne area lies within a belt of volcanic and sedimentary rocks intruded to the north by LaMotte batholiths and to the south by the Preissac batholiths and Moly Hill pluton.
There are two prominent lithium prospects (Augustus and Canadian Lithium) and one silver prospect on the property which have been explored intermittently since 1948.
- Augustus Lithium Prospect
- Canadian Lithium Prospect
- Landrienne Sud Silver Project
